Navigation is crucial for any website, but when your offerings are diverse and complex, how can you enhance the user experience (UX) while maintaining a straightforward journey?
This was precisely the challenge posed by Regis, one of the UK's largest high-street salon chains.
And we had the solution.
The Challenge
Regis wanted a website that seamlessly blended WordPress content with an online Magento store. So, we set out to enhance navigation across both platforms, making it easier for visitors to navigate the Regis website efficiently.
The Process
Our first step was to eliminate the fragmented feel of the site by simplifying it. We streamlined everything into a primary navigation menu, allowing users to locate their local salon easily, purchase their favourite haircare products, and stay updated on the latest hair trends—all with a simple click or tap.
On the back end, the navigation code was synchronised across WordPress and Magento. However, from the customer's perspective on the front end, the navigation appeared straightforward and cohesive. We achieved exactly what we set out to do.
The Results
Thirty days after launching Regis’s enhanced navigation, we saw remarkable results:
- 23% increase in salon searches
- 18% increase in e-commerce conversion rate
- 30% increase in sales
- 14% increase in average order value (AOV)
- 29% increase in site search
Breaking down these results by device:
- Mobile: +41% conversion rate / +42% salon searches
- Tablet: -8% conversion rate / +4% salon searches
- Desktop: +23% conversion rate / +15% salon searches
Clearly, the results speak for themselves.
Regis was delighted with the outcomes, and so were we. Are you looking for help with your online needs? Feel free to reach out to us, we would love to discuss how we can assist you like we have many others!
