Virtual production that produced an elevated summer fashion shoot for ecommerce and online.
Brief
LK Bennett came to us for an elevated ecommerce campaign shoot to showcase their new summer collection, creating stills and video that could be used across all their channels online. The challenge was to achieve the look and feel of a location, in our London studios, and push the boundaries of the studio set-up to achieve something truly head-turning.
Action
This was the perfect opportunity for us to use virtual production, a style of shooting where we combine real sets and models with digital techniques and projections to create an extra dimension of creativity when shooting in studio. For LK Bennett, we created a CGI video of a turquoise sea view to play on the screen giving the desired location feel, we then lit the model and the foreground set to match the video image, creating a seamless presentation of the two.
Result
The use of virtual production enabled us to shoot key pieces from the summer collection with a location effect on a much smaller budget, giving the flexibility and creativity the brand desired and seamlessly upholding the luxurious aesthetic the brand’s audience expects.
